I would like information about this six inch high goblet.

The left mark appears to be the letters MW but they are only partially struck. The left of the M is missing as is the right of the W

I believe the goblet was made in 1787 by Matthew West
.

Out of interest whilst reseaching another matter on wine, I came across this statement. "Records show that Dublin silversmith Matthew West assayed over 500 wine cups in a single year, 1787 to 1788"
