Shot in the dark, but does anyone know the maker of this modernistic piece please?
Have emailed Dublin assay office but with no reply as yet.
Thanks in advance

Contemporary maker's mark
Re: Contemporary maker's mark
Hi John,
Great item. It's the work of the Kilkenny Design Workshops.
See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilkenny_Design_Workshops

Re: Contemporary maker's mark
On trying to describe the purpose of this piece to others, I have come up against a barrier.
Does any one have any idea of its purpose? Does it have one? A modernistic chalice? Vase? 9 cms high x 7.5 cms square.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
John

Re: Contemporary maker's mark
It looks like a modern take on a tyg (a drinking vessel).
