Glasgow Date Letter Curiosity

Hi,
A friend has posed me an interesting question regarding a Glasgow date letter. He has a set of six single struck King's pattern spoons, two by 'PA', which appear to be clearly identifiable as 1851, and four by 'WC', the date letter of which is causing confusion. The odd date letter is quite different from all those in published sources consulted so far.

PA - Glasgow - 1851

WC - Glasgow - ?
