This apostle teaspoon (1878) is of extremely high quality, which makes it all the more surprising that I can't find out who he is.

Your spoon was made by Mappin Bros. who were registered at Queen's Cutlery Works in Sheffield.

Thankyou very much Gerryl.
Here's the front of the spoon and a bit of extra info from Marks of London Goldsmiths and Silversmiths 1837-1914 by John P. Fallon.

Upon Edward Mappin's death on 11 January 1875, his son, Charles Mappin took over the firm entering his own mark under the name Mappin Bros at the Sheffield Assay Office in March 1877 and at the Goldsmith's Hall, London, in April 1878.

He left the firm and the mark was changed in February 1884 to FC over CH.
