Confirmation of Mark date and query re. Maker - G Ltd

Hi folks, I'm a newbie to silver and was looking for some help with some spoons that I have.
Looking through the online encyclopedia it would appear that these are dated Sheffield 1839, but this seems a bit early for art deco ware? Could someone please advise.
Also, can anyone throw any light upon the maker G Ltd?
