Maker's Mark on Fork?

Postby carling » Mon Feb 19, 2007 11:32 am

Can anyone identify AH the maker of this fork? I am pretty sure it's English silver though there are no assay marks.

This is a new departure for me... my first ever fork! Irresistible really. I guess it must have been used for shellfish. Picking winkles or something. :o)

Many thanks for your quick reply, Trev. I've just come across this web site on a search:

http://www.925-1000.com/dlSheffield.html

There are three marks attributed to Aaron Hadfield there. Mine seems to be like the third one listed albeit without the centre pellet. Perhaps another variation?

Here's a previous thread with Aaron Hadfield.
