'C' date code not matching

Three of the markings confirm E. Viners as the maker, the crown confirming Sheffield and the lion representing .925 silver. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I am however lost to ID the date 'C' which is not a standard, round backed letter ( { this would be similar shape) and the I on the top arm and placed within a 7 sided shield.
Any help, much appreciated.
