Need help Identifying the maker!

Postby Imbuement » Wed Jan 01, 2014 9:16 pm

I came across this old looking blade in my attic and wanted to figure out where it's from. There are 4 marks on it, the first 3 I believe mean, Sheffield, England and the date letter is C. The maker mark is however, not so easily found. Help me figure this out if you can! Much appreciated!

Hi.
The date letter is for 1895 and the maker I believe is Barker Brothers

Hey Larkfield,
I appreciate the info on the marks, but I don't believe it's made by Barker Brothers, I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure the make maker says HH. :S

HH is Harrison Brothers & Howson. This mark was registered in 1849.

Awesome! Thanks so much Phil! I have one more question though. Where is the insignia below the marks from?
