Hello I am new here and I am trying to help my father-in-law with the details of this tea set...I wonder if anyone can help .
I am thinking RWB is Richard W Burbidge then there is the crown, then the lion and V.....he bought it in Harrogate many years ago and has been told it was made for Harrods.

any info would be gratefully appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the Forum.

Sir Richard Woodman Burbidge Baronet (1872-1945) was chairman of Harrod's. His initials were used by that firm as sponsors of silverware from c1919 and pieces assayed as late as 1976 have been seen still showing the same mark.

The crown mark is the town mark for Sheffield and by the style of the items assay was probably in 1938-9 although the date letter "V" is almost indistinguishable from one used for 1963-4.

Best wishes
Mike
