James Dixon spoon

Postby LIscot » Sun Aug 04, 2019 7:24 am

Hi, I’m new here.
I have a silver tablespoon, possibly silver plated. I’ve worked out it was made by the company James Dixon and would love to know what the other hallmarks mean.

I can’t seem to attach the photo I have. The spoon has the mark of the trumpet and H LD, the D is smaller and could mean Ltd. The last letter is A.

Many thanks

Reference (2010) on "H Ld" marks, determined to be retailer mark of Harrod's Limited: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=19750&p=45297&hilit=dixon+trumpet+a&sid=091f27abfb31bb8293fa8eab25590b17#p45297
