Exeter 1844 fork John Stone ?

I think I'm getting the hang of this. Among the pile of silver plate I bought was one fork with these marks:

I didn't find the exact "three towers" match to my piece, but this seems to be Exeter, 1844, John Stone. Legit?

Hello, you have got your identification exactly correct for the fork. There is can be a little variation in the marks made by the various hallmark punches as they get repeatedly used. If you think about it a newly made punch is likely to give a much more crisp mark than 1 having been used numerous times. No doubt on some occasions a punch will fail and need to be replaced. The punches were hand made and a bit of variation could have been possible.
