A mustard spoon with maker's mark F.W

Postby Granmaa » Tue Apr 18, 2006 8:17 am

Here is a delightful little mustard spoon from Chester 1898 with a barley twist handle, a pear shape bowl and a ball end; it is one of my latest but favourite spoons. Unfortunately, I don't know the maker: F.W. Do forgive the picture, the hallmarks are in the bowl which made it rather tricky to get them all in focus.

It's bit dark but possibly Birmingham maker F. Webb?

Florence Warden, of Birmingham. Seemed to specialise in mustard and usually assayed in Chester.
