Ridgway and Priestly give three marks #3999,4000,4001 for Henry William King, trading as Henry W. King of Silverdale Works 15, Chaterhouse Street , London. Private address of Mr King was Stanford, Muswell Avenue, Muswell Hill ,London. Date of registration was 20th March 1896 which fits well with the date of this piece. However the marks illustrated are a three rectangle one (3999) and a square one (4000) whereas this piece appears to have clearly canted corners. However I feel sure this is the right maker.
