Hose,
I have no detailed information on the maker, but do know the mark is for Zilverfabriek Voorschoten.

The Zilverfabriek Voorschoten used this mark from 1925 untill 1961. So the N in the yearletter is not 1923 but 1948. The zilverfabriek in Voorschoten started in 1858.

Thanks then it must be 1934 and the letter is a Z that is turned 90 degress.
The N from 1948 is crowned and there is no trace of a Crown.

In 1948 there were two types of N in use. One without a crown (probably used before the crowning of Queen Juliana in 1948) and one with a crown. This year letter N in your picture is typical for the N without the crown. For the Z from 1934 the right leg is quite different etc.

Hi,

The crowned N of 1948 was used from July 1st and was to celebrate the 50th year of Wilhelmina's reign. Later that year she stepped down in favour of her daughter Juliana.
According to Voet this crown was suggested by Citroen.

Thanks that must be it. So http://www.925-1000.com/Fnetherlands_Date_Code.html
is ready for update with my N - so that both can be seen at that page.

Tanks for the info.
