Good Morning All,

I have been directed to this forum for some help identifying the maker and date of this 18th century Dutch pipe tamper multi tool. I have been advised that the four rampant lions are from the Dutch town of Schoonhoven. I am unable to locate the maker and the date mark. I would really appreciate any advice if possible ! This is my first post so hopefully I have done everything correctly! Many thanks. Callum

Town mark of Schoonhoven: Shield with four lion's rampant facing left. See:

Date letter W for 1771
The maker's mark could be a hammer for: Pieter Kuypers, registered in schoonhoven, 1768-.......... No access to my library will confirm later.
