Dutch 18th Century Tobacco Tamper Multi Tool Hall Mark Identification Date & Maker

Post by Cjacko »

Good Morning All,

I have been directed to this forum for some help identifying the maker and date of this 18th century Dutch pipe tamper multi tool. I have been advised that the four rampant lions are from the Dutch town of Schoonhoven. I am unable to locate the maker and the date mark. I would really appreciate any advice if possible ! This is my first post so hopefully I have done everything correctly! Many thanks. Callum

Town mark of Schoonhoven: Shield with four lion's rampant facing left. See:

Year letter W for 1794.
The maker's mark is a hammer for: Cornelis Adrzn. Kuypers, registered in schoonhoven 1778- till around 1810.
