Please see attached photographs of a rather nice cast silver gilt salt cellar. The marks are on each of the feet and consist of the double headed eagle a letter D and the makers mark which is either TB or IB.

Just looking at the information you provided, the double headed eagle, the letter D year letter and the maker's mark TB. Educated guess. I believe the silver salt could be Dutch. Double headed eagle town mark of Middelburg used 18th century. Maker's mark T.B for: Toussaint Brunel, registered in Middelburg 1758- 1791. The year letter D for Middelburg 1767.

Yes, indeed double headed eagle town mark of Middelburg, used mid 18th century. Maker's mark T.B for: Toussaint Brunel, registered in Middelburg 1758- 1791. The year letter D for Middelburg 1767.
The double headed eagle or so called Grote Keur of Middelburg in 1767 guaranteed a minimum silver fineness of 10 penningen 18 grein circa 896/1000.
