Can someone identify this mark please

Hi - I am new to collecting silver and I have been researching for a while on this mark. I did think there would be marks on the lid but I cannot make any out. It looks like a dutch piece but as I say I am new to collecting.

Hi welcome to the forum.
Are their no other mark? Only the Roman number an indication / verification number. Normally the same scratch number should be on the other part. Rim lid and rim box. For Dutch ( hall)marks see:

Perhaps your box is not solid silver and made out of a non precious metal and/or silver plated
