Hi Baby,
Yes early spoon, finial woman with children to symbolize love. Town mark of Amsterdam, year letter H for 1742. Maker's mark not a man's bust with a ponytail but a man's head profile. The "ponytail" is probably due to a damaged punch-mark of the maker. The maker appears to be Jan de Vries, registered in Amsterdam from 1710-1753 (died). Known maker of cast spoons.
H for 1742 based upon appearance of lion rampant's shape and tail, and town mark of Amsterdam.
Best,
Peter.
