Hi Jim, welcome to the forum.
Town mark of Amsterdam year letter N could be for the year 1796
The maker's mark could be one of many A.S and AS marks used by the Amsterdam registered silversmith Adam Schaake baptised/ born 1756 and registered silver guild Amsterdam in 1793, died in 1840. Known for small silverwork tobacco and lodderein boxes. Stopped working before 1813. To make sure we are talking about the right silersmith please show an image of the whole item.

Best,

Peter
