Hi to the experts any thoughts on this spoon would be appreciated. I list it here as it has four crowned marks that I think may be from pre-revolutionary France, but early French marking systems are something of a mystery to me. It measures 20.5cm and weighs about 60 grams. It has a bowl that seems disproportionately large for the stem, an enormous drop, and a substantial up-turn at the end. The shaft of the spoon has a Hanoverian type ridge to it. The marks are clear, a crowned tree, the second I can't decipher, a crowned n and a crowned o. Hi - thanks to OEL's excellent article on Dutch silver, I have a feeling this spoon might be Dutch, pre Kingdom of Holland. Specifically Nijmegen. Think I can make out the crowned double headed eagle in the second mark. Would appreciate it if a moderator could move it there - many thanks Frank
