This ladle has very clear hallmarks, but I have been unable to identify the silversmith. I believe the silversmiths initials are BW. The rest of the hallmarks indicate that it is .833 silver, and it was assayed in The Hague in 1931. The ladle measures about 11" long. Does anyone know who the silversmith is?
The BvW makers’ mark is not in my books. Perhaps it could be a not registered mark for the company Block & M.E van der Waal, Goud en Zilverbedrijven n.v. Offices in Rotterdam en The Hague, date entries with two known marks 1924 / 1948
