Help me please to define who is maker of my item.

Postby Elena Russ » Tue Aug 24, 2010 9:09 am

Hi, dear friends.

Help me please to define who is maker of my item.
I know my shovel for the fish is from Dutch, as it bears the Dutch hallmark — the lion with figure «2». But unfortunately I cannot define who is maker. Perhaps the letters S and H over the letters M and P are represented on the silver’s mark. But I can make mistakes. Thank you.

Hi Elena,

JH above H3 for Jacob Hendrik Helweg, city of Amsterdam, date 1864/1893.

May I ask what all this Dutch silver is doing in Russia ? With love.

Regards,
Oel
