Dutch Silver Cream Spoon - Unidentifiable Maker Mark

Postby rfox76 » Tue Apr 27, 2010 11:20 am

Hi, any ideas on the two marks at either end of the spoon? One appears to be HI or IH, but does not match anyone in Zilverstudie. At the opposite end is what appears to be B:N but with the 'N' reversed.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Here's a better picture of the marks.

It looks like the B:N mark is for Jan Buysen. I also discovered another mark stamped into the coat of arms, a Minerva head with the letter E. The IH or HI mark is still a mystery.
