Art Deco Picklefork

Postby gaymerl » Sat Feb 07, 2009 6:48 am

I have an art deco picklefork which I believe is Dutch because of the small silver sword mark. The maker's mark is deep and quite indistinct but looks like JK followed by another unidentified letter or a symbol surmounted by a crown.

The fork weighs 0.56 ozt aqnd I can find no other marks.

Does anyone know the maker's mark?

It stands to be corrected and completed but to me it looks like one of Van Kempen´s marks in Voorschoten.

You are so right, Jackjo. If I'd remembered that it was Dutch I might have looked on the J as a V which of course it is. I'm also told now that it's more likely a sardine fork Live and learn!!
