Postby cap » Sun Nov 23, 2008 3:37 pm

Can anyone id the maker and approx date of this antique Dutch spoon? I believe it is a caddy spoon. Can anyone confirm that it is? The spoon and marks are pictured below. To me the mark looks like that of Adriann Dordrecht Wor. Please let me know what you think. Any comments are appreciated. Thank you.

The spoon was made by Firma B.W. van Eldik in Zutphen near Arnhem in the 20th century. The mark consists of a mirrored B and WE.

I found this and saw some other objects by him while searching

"Hollandia" zilversmederij
Meester: B.W. van Eldik
Zutphen: 1917 -1950

Hope this will help you in your further research. I saw your question about the cow brooch, but I have not a clue about the master M14.
