Perfume Bottle - a little unsure of the date

Hi,
So found this lying around the house and am just trying to date it etc.

So far i figure it's Birmingham England, thinking Saunders and Mackenzie (please tell me if you agree). The date im a bit confused about... the shape of the 'D' Stamp looks the same as the shape of the lion and anchor. So i can't quite tell which date it is... here are the pics anyway.
