Trying to find makers mark on lamp. Shield shape?

I bought this lamp recently and I'm trying to find any information on it. I know is it Birmingham, and made in 1906. Any guess on the makers mark? it is very warn but it almost looks like a "s"? or "J"?
Ellis & Co (Ellis Jacob Greenberg) maybe?

Hi and welcome to the forum

I think you have found the right mark - E J Greenberg. I know of no other Birmingham marks of this period and punch shape with J in that position (it's definitely J, not S).
