Silver Lid

Good day
I have bought this lid online. It is 145mm long, 50mm at widest point and15mm high. I think it is made by G Loveridge & Co in 1907 but I cant find similar embossed items by him.What object would it have come off? Would it have been a silver or glass bottom?

Hi,
Silver mounted GLASS dressing table set.
The maker is correct.
