mystery '2' hallmark on Levi Salamon spectacle case

Postby aybo » Fri Oct 17, 2014 3:38 pm

Hi everyone,
I have a Levi and Salamon 1905 spectacle/glasses case made in Birmingham with what appears to be a hallmark '2' does anyone know what the meaning of this is? It would be great to hear some advice/ ideas. I cant find any references online unfortunately and am neither an expert in the least on silver.
I've uploaded some snaps onto flickr (please cut and past link) -https://www.flickr.com/photos/76528622@N06/sets/72157648824611885/

thanks x
