WHO IS THE MAKER AND WHAT YEAR?

Hallo there.
I find that is from Birmingham sterling silver.
I cant find the maker and the year.I look at the Birminham letters guide but i dont find this letter.
Any help?

Good morning,

Birmingham date letter Gothic lower case p for 1847. Did not come up with a clear answer for the makers mark.

That's Birmingham 1898, possibly Stainton Brothers.

I stand corrected, it is 1898. The Birmingham anchor and the lion passant above have the same clipped corners where as the 1847 p does but the lion and anchor cartouche do not. Was not satisfied with the mark for Stainton Brothers, we are referring to the mark posted on Silver Makers Marks UK correct?

Let's see where that goes.

It's definitely Stainton Brothers. My example has the stop and the base of the letter B concatenated.

I might also point out that two other reasons why the date is 1898 and not 1847 are the lack of a duty mark and the sideways anchor.
