I have this decanter label hallmarked for Birmingham 1829. It has 2 maker's marks, that of Ledsam, Vale & Wheeler and also that of Wheeler & Cronin. I know that the Wheeler of W&C was Mary Wheeler, was she also the the maker in the LV&W parnership? If so is it likely that this was old stock from LV&W that was remarked by W&C, whose mark I believe was registered in 1842, or are there any other explanations for this?
Regards,
Martin
