Postby garyh3 » Thu Feb 02, 2006 5:17 pm

Hi Again,

My daughter received this as a Christening gift, can someone tell me the maker and the year and also what's the best way to display them and where can I get a display case for them.

I think the marks are SL with an anchor, lion and the letter N

thanks for any help

Made in Birmingham in 1937-8 but don't know who the maker is.
Best wishes, Mike.

The maker of your piece is Suckling Ltd. The directors were Joseph & William Suckling and they were registered as silversmiths and electroplate manufacturers of Kingsway House, Albion Street & Phoenix House, Vyse Street, both in Birmingham at the date your piece was hallmarked.

Regards, Gerryl
