Hello everyone,
I am really struggling with this. I have established that these were made in Birmingham 1896. I am however struggling to find the maker. The mark starts with a "W" but its too difficult to see on both items.
Does anyone know???
Thanks

Hi Andy,
Welcome to the Forum.
Sorry, I can't add to anything that you've not already found out. The amount of Birmingham makers that start with a 'W' at this period is many.
Try posting larger images of the marks from both the pieces, maybe someone can spot something.
In the meantime, this is something else you can try, place the piece in the freezer for an half an hour, then take it out and inspect the mark as the warmer air hits it, sometimes more detail is revealed.
Let us know how you get on.
Regards Trev.
