help for identifying maker's mark E.S.B.

Postby frenchie_myriam » Sun Oct 23, 2005 2:29 pm

Hello All,

Me again and again with an inkwell assayed in Birmingham in 1911. Maker's mark is fairly rubbed but still can decifer E.S.B. in a rectangular shape.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Myriam

Your mark is for Herbert W Adie & Percy J Adie trading as E.S.Barnsley & Co who were manufacturing silversmiths. They traded from 45 Frederick Street Birmingham during thr period yor item was hallmarked.
