makers mark on a silver vesta case unkown, any one recognise

The Above Vesta Case is hallmarked Birmingham Dated 1916, But Does any one recognise the makers mark ?

this shows a close up of the Hallmark found on the inside of the vesta lid.
the makers mark looks like J.C ltd any one know this mark?
