Embellishment on vase
Trying to identify an old vase belonging to my Mother in law. Any help appreciated.
Hi Ray,
The silver collar looks like a Birmingham 1938 assay. Can't help with the maker/sponsor. The vase looks like Royal Worcester ivory blush but I'm no expert on ceramics. Many of the major ceramics manufacturers had identification schemes/codes which can date the vase. The bottom of the vase will have the stamped marks and from them more detail about the vase can be gleaned.
