Handy hint for future.
All properly hallmarked English silver carried a Sovereigns Head (showing that duty had been paid ) beween the years 1784 and 1890. Either one of the Georges, William or Victoria. (To confuse matters more, a few years in the mid to late twentieth ventury had an optional Sovereign's or Sovereigns' at royal celebration years- eg 1977). Also the style of this piece is very Victorian in form - in 1906/7 it was slightly old fashioned in fact .
Hence if you see a properly marked piece with only three assay marks it is unlikely to 1784 -1890.

Hi Andrew-

The easiest way to tell between the 1804 or 1906 would be to look at the shape of the cartouche the date letter g is in.

Regards - Byron

great looking set of hallmarks, they seem to be in perfect shape. Nice piece, hard to believe it still has the stopper.
