Hey folks,

I really need your help with identifying this hall mark. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Any kind of information about the maker is helpful.

Thanks

Hi

The Scottish (Glasgow) firm of W. Miller & Co used a WM & Co hallmark, but theirs was in a rectangle, not in three overlapping circles. Apart from the above maker, I have no record of such a maker.

Your piece is Birmingham 1912. The makers mark is Wilmot Manufacturing Company. An illustration of the makers mark can be seen on page 375 of "The Silversmiths of Birmingham and their marks: 1750-1980" Edited by Kenneth Crisp Jones (now sadly out of print.)

Walter Henry Marks, Samuel Tobias Cohen & John Paul Wilmot were trading as the Wilmot Manufacturing Co. in Birmingham - 1912. This piece is their mark, dated Birmingham 1912.
