c.1780 teaspoon

This is a bottom-marked teaspoon, almost certainly of British manufacture. One mark bears a slight resemblance to the lion passant, but I'm not sure of it. What might be a maker's mark looks like the two letters have a star between them.
The design reminds me of an Indian colonian spoon I once had.
