I was wondering if anyone knows the maker of this antique sterling London, made in 1827, skewer. I have used your very useful information to figure out what the hallmarks mean and thank you for this siteand your time. .
Hi-There are several makers with the mark TB, but a couple seem to fit the bill. One is Thomas Barker whose mark was entered about 1819. Another possibility is Thomas Ballam, entered1820. There are some others but they have a pellet between the letters. Hope this helps. .
My 5cents - Barker's mark was generally TB in overlapping circles, and he was last mentioned in 1819. What about Thomas Burwash, marked entered ni 1825, last mentioned in 1830?
