Help with makers sought.

Postby Scrumpy » Wed Mar 21, 2007 10:50 am

Hi There
I am new to this so please excuse me if something is wrong.
I am trying to find out about this smokers set for an elderly relative. As far as I can make out the hallmark says London, 1928 but the company mark looks to be for Wolfsky & Co but it looks as though they only operated until 1922. Can anyone help? I have attached photos of the set, each item and the best I can get of the hallmark.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Did you get your information on the maker's dates from a reliable source?

Don't think so, I don't have that mark yet. I think you may have misunderstood, Miles was asking where you got the info on the maker.

Hi,
I believe the site's system on dating is to give the earliest and latest dates that they've seen on a pieces, this gives a good approximate working time frame.
