Help, please! Identify item & marks

I believe the item to be sterling and of London origin, though the hallmarks are certainly quite worn. Can someone identify the marks, please?


The item is approx 22CM in length. What would it have been used for?

Welcome to the Forum.

It's a marrow scoop (marrow was considered quite a delicacy at this time) by Peter, Ann and William Bateman. It was assayed at London in 1804.
