1882-83 Candlesticks

Post by klgood »

I can't find the first mark anywhere. Kind of looks like an upside down bat.
The other 4 I'm reading as London, Sterling .925, 1882, Queen Victoria.
Note the inside of the candlesticks is marked as 1883.
Appreciate any help. Thanks for a great site.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

The mark which you cannot decipher is RF in a shield, the mark of Rupert Favell:

The 1883 date is fine as the date letter G was used from 29 May 1882 until 28 May 1883, these being the dates when the letter was changed.
