Identify makers mark

Post by PW333abc »

Hello!

I would be very grateful for help. I have a spoon with 4 marks. If I'm right, it was made in London in 1882. But unfortunately I can not find out who the silversmith is. Or it is both the left and the right mark for London as they look almost the same.

Best regards

Per

Yes, this is London 1882. The mark on the left is the duty mark and that on the right is the London uncrowned leopard's head. There is no maker's mark in your picture. Is it in the same position on the other arm?

Hello!

Thank you very much for the answer. I found the silversmith's mark. I believe the silversmith is George William Adams. Clawner & co.

That is correct, although the company is Chawner & Co.
