ID Maker's Mark on London(?) George III Sugar Basket

Postby OldSalt » Mon Apr 13, 2020 3:42 pm

I have not been able to identify this maker's mark despite have been through all of the marks for the most likely cities based on my understanding of the marks. Any help at all regarding the make or the city of origin is greatly appreciated. The two initials from the makers last names appear to be a D over a W.

Hi,

Please choose another photohost.

https://postimages.org (choose 'Share', then copy the 'Hotlink for forums' code) is recommended. Do not use Photobucket or Dropbox.

Sure. I used PhotoBucket because it was one of the sites recommended by this site. Didn't know the watermark would be the size of Oklahoma.

London 1781 (crowned leopard's head and no duty mark) and almost certainly the mark of Thomas Daniell & John Wall:
