Thomas Wallis II makers mark?

Hi

I am assuming the makers mark on this shell back teaspoon is that of Thomas Wallis II. However it has two pellets dividing the initials, I cannot recall seeing a Wallis mark with a single pellet let alone two. Has anyone else seen this mark before or is it a different maker?

The lion passant seems to be of the pattern in use from 1739 until 1755. If so, this is too early for Thomas Wallis II, whose first mark was registered in 1778 and who didn't become free until 1779 (I don't know how that came about), and it may therefore be an unrecorded mark of Thomas Whipham, probably originally registered in the lost 1739-1758 Smallworkers' Register. Or it might be a completely different TW....
