Possibly Irish silver???

Hi my friend has recently asked me to help him find out the hall marks on this spoon. He informs me that it might be Irish but isn't sure. Please help! Thank you in advance!

Hi Pope,

It has a lion passant mark so definitely not Irish. I'll leave it up to the experts on English silver to comment further.

This is a London hallmark, sufficiently distinctive despite the lack of the crowned leopard's head town mark. The date letter d is for 1819 and the maker, IH, is John Harris IV, a well-known spoon maker. He is known as John Harris IV because he is the fourth John Harris to be entered into the Goldsmiths' Company, not because of any blood relation to the previous three.
