Old wallet with " k " and lion hallmark?

Postby Kellyann196 » Sun Mar 05, 2017 5:23 pm

Hey my dads old wallet has some hallmarks on I think they look like a "K" and a lion, unsure of the one next to it. It's my first post here so looking for a date or any info relating to this it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Kelly

Hi Kelly,

Welcome to the Forum.

You will have a far greater chance of getting a response if you embed your images. Very few people will click on such links.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
Your images open very slowly, right mouse disabled, image code only for small option, so I could not embed them.
Three marks can be deciphered beyond any doubt.
Lion passant for sterling .925 fineness.
Leopard`s head for London.
Date letter ``k`` for 1905.
For British marks take a look here:
http://www.925-1000.com/british_marks.html
Sponsor`s mark cannot be deciphered. I suppose it`s struck on every silver corner.
Try to take better close up of it and embed the image if possible.
Regards
