Help identifying Hallmarks on Silver Frame

Postby Murph73 » Mon Dec 29, 2014 10:03 am

Since i have been reading along inkognito , i thought it would be time to register.

And ask my first Questions. Recently i bought this silver Frame on a Flea Market.

I would love to know more about its History , so if anyone could tell me where this Hallmarks are from(England? London? 19th Cent.) is greatly appreciated. Also if its Sterling or Plated.

Thx so much in advance! Pics are below , and i hope this works uploading them.

Greetings from a yank living in Denmark.

Sean

Hi Sean,

Welcome to the Forum.

Yes, it is silver, London 1978. The maker's mark is not clear enough for me to see, it appears like a trefoil with the last letter being 'M'. How do you read it?

Hi Sean,

Sorry, that one is not ringing any bells with me. Hopefully someone else knows the answer.
